Obituary of Bonnie Bauer

Bonnie Mae (Fox) Bauer was born January 12, 1927 to Edward and Mary (Jorgensen) Fox in Sioux City, IA. Attended high school in Yankton, SD, graduated 1945. Bonnie married Frank Bauer November 11, 1946 in Spirit Lake where they resided for a time, and they later moved to Milford. Bonnie worked for Northwestern Bell, beginning as a telephone operator, first in Spirit Lake and later in Spencer, eventually moving on to other positions and retiring from US West. Bonnie enjoyed being active in the church, spending time with family and friends, flower gardening, bowling, traveling, visiting casinos, and was an avid bridge player. Other past time activities included reading mystery novels, solving word puzzles, watching murder mysteries and comedy shows on television. Bonnie is survived by her sister Mary Ann Nelson of Des Moines; six sons: David (Cherrie) of Grand Junction, CO; Frank (Blaine Nelson) of Austin TX; Mike (Cyndi) of San Antonio, TX; Jim (Janet) of Malcolm, NE; Dan (Maggie), Longmont, CO; and Bob of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; grandchildren: Kimberly (Robert) Kehrer, Dave Bauer, Tim (Catherine) Bauer, Stephen Bauer, Frank (Angela) Bauer, Lia (Paul) Holden, Michael (Jennifer) Bauer, Christy (Will) Brown, Nick (Tracy) Bauer, Doug Bauer, Rachel Bauer, Emma Bauer, Thomas Bauer; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Bonnie was preceded in death by husband Frank, and sister Lucille.
