Obituary of Richard Kilgore

Richard Dallas Kilgore was born August 30, 1940 in Oakland, California, the son of Fredrick and Roberta (Elliott) Kilgore. He was united in marriage to Karen Heerde on November 8, 1966 in Sioux City, Iowa. They lived in Topeka, Kansas and have resided in Spirit Lake, Iowa since 1996. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Richard was employed as a welder in construction maintenance until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and bingo. Richard passed away at the Milford Nursing Center on May 24, 2011 at 70 years of age. Survivors include his wife, Karen; his children, Shane Kilgore of Topeka, Kansas, Bambie Kilgore of Topeka Kansas, Jesse and his wife, Katie Kilgore of Lake Park, Iowa; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
