Obituary of Delmer Woodley

Delmer Ronald Woodley was born May 24, 1925 to Floyd and Kathryn (Roth) Woodley in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He graduated from Arnolds Park High and married Joan Henry of Waukon, Iowa on May 2, 1951 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They celebrated 60 years of marriage, living in Fort Dodge, Spencer and the lakes area for the past 45 years. Delmer served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He worked in TV repair and radio, built and became a mobile home court owner in 1966. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Ham Radio Club. Delmer loved Lincoln Continentals, antique radios and ham radios and equipment. He was an antique collector. He loved his business but especially loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters Julie (Richard) Dirks of Milford, Iowa, Joni Woodley Armstrong of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, son Larry (Arlene) Woodley of Billings, Montana; daughters Sandra Lee of Washington, Regina Woodley of Washington; grandchildren Sarah and Emily Dirks, Alicia, Ashli and Alexis Armstrong, David, Travis and Kayla Woodley, and several other grandchildren; sister, Arlene Place of Des Moines; Iowa, nieces, nephews. And cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald; parents Kathryn and Floyd Woodley; brother, Dale Woodley and sister, Shirley Mayer.
