Obituary of Mary Jo Roskammer

Mary Jo Roskammer was born October 31, 1942 in Spencer, Iowa, the daughter of Orie and Viola (Holst) Lohrmann. Mary Jo raised and educated in Everly. Upon graduating from Everly High School in 1960, Mary Jo attended Stewarts Beauty School in Sioux City, Iowa. Mary Jo was married to Vince Trebbien in September, 1965, and a son, Mike, was born to this union. She was united in marriage to Jerry Roskammer in October, 1979 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. The couple made their home in Wahpeton. Mary Jo worked as a beautician since 1962, and operated her salon out of her home. Mary Jo was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford, where she was involved in various church organizations. She was also a volunteer for the South Dickinson Community Fund. Mary Jo loved people! She enjoyed gardening, yard work, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed genealogy and scrapbooking. Mary Jo passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at sixty-eight years of age. She is survived by her husband, Jerome, of Wahpeton; son Mike Trebbien, his wife Jolene, and their sons, Kyle and Leo, of Charles City; her mother, Viola Lohrmann; many relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Orie, infant sister, Jane Ellen and husband, Vincent Trebbien in 1979.
