Obituary of Rosella Pixler

Rosella Pixler was born November 20, 1914 in Crofton, Nebraska, the daughter of Edward and Rose Feldhacker. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Pixler on May 2, 1934 in Menaminee, Nebraska. Ken and Rosella moved to Spencer in 1935. Rosella was a member of the Senior Center and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, walking, bingo and playing cards. Rosella was a loving mother and friend. She enjoyed being around the children and her grandchildren. Cooking was a favorite. She could not stand to see anyone without food in front of them. Pies were a specialty and she knew she could entice the kids into coming home when roast beef and pie were available. She will be missed and remembered! Rosella passed away October 16, 2011 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa at ninety-six years of age. Rosella was survived by her children, Julie Binder and her husband, Glen, of Des Moines, Lillian Mills and her husband, Larry, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Charles Pixler and his wife, Vicki, of Omaha, Nebraska, Charlotte Pepper of Des Moines, Iowa, Karen Weisstanner and her husband, Hans, of Warrenton, Virginia, Diane Rottunda and her husband, Curt, of Spirit Lake, Norman Pixler and his wife, DeEtta, of Milford, Iowa, Norma Miller and her husband, Larry, of Spencer; over fifty grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda Kuehler of Spencer and Sister Grace Feldhacker of Yankton, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; daughter, Lila Williamson; seven brothers and seven sisters.
