Obituary of Kade A Longelin

Kade Alexander Longelin was born December 4, 2003 to Christina and Travis Longelin in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Kade passed away October 11, 2011 at Sanford Children's Hospital. Kade was our courageous little one who had many surgeries. He became the love of all of his family, and he showed his love with his big smile. Kade loved to hear dogs bark or when his family would bark at him, he really smiled at that. Kade also knew how to get all of our attention. He would hold his breath, and then when we would get excited, he would breathe and smile at us. He also loved to be held. Although Kade's illness made him appear frail, he possessed strength, perseverance and the ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With his courage, he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Those to cherish his memories are his Parents Christina and Travis and brother Eli, Grandparents Deb and Jeff Albert, Barb and James Longelin, Great Grandparents Jan and Darrell Sathren, Becky Schierholt, Florence Albert, Great Great Grandma Shorty.
